The "De Hennepe" winery in Aalten in the Netherlands is the destination of the next German-Dutch border talks on Thursday, 23 May. The meeting point is at 6 pm directly at the winery (Romienendiek 3, 7122 Aalten). The event is part of the educational series "Border Talks" and is open to the public.

A survey on European work in Bocholt will take place at the weekly market on 25 May. Interested citizens can also take part online. The survey is being planned, carried out and analysed by Bachelor students and is being conducted on behalf of the city of Bocholt.

The lecture was organised by KAB St. Josef Rhede and KAB Bezirksverband Borken and was supported by EUROPE DIRECT Bocholt.

Commission launches application round for 35,500 travel tickets
From today, 35,500 young people will have the next chance to win a free train ticket. Anyone who is 18 years old (born between 1 July 2005 and 30 June 2006) and has successfully applied can travel through Europe for 30 days from July 2024. The young people themselves decide how this works: The tickets can be used until the end of September 2025.

On the initiative of the Landwirtschaftlicher Stadtverband Bocholt and the Europa-Union Bocholt e.V., a discussion event will take place on 17 April at 7:30 pm in the Festscheune of Schloss Diepenbrock in Bocholt. Representatives of the European Commission in Berlin, the Bundestag and the Landtag will be on hand to answer questions and listen to suggestions.
