There are now two new vending machines at Bocholt cemetery where recyclable grave lights can be purchased. The lights "Cera Lights" are produced by Büngern-Technik, a workshop for people with disabilities. The grave light vending machines are now in operation at over 20 locations.

FW Bocholt: Hedge fire in Mussum

Bocholt (ots) - A reported fire with human lives in danger turned out to be a major hedge fire. At 3.50 p.m., the fire brigade and the rescue service of the city of Bocholt travelled to the scene on Kiebitzweg. A hedge was on fire over a length of around 15 metres. The Aasee bathing bay will be open again for swimming on Saturday, 5 July and Sunday, 6 July 2025. The city of Bocholt had to postpone the start of the season due to technical work on the subsoil. Now all Bocholt residents can use the area again without restriction at the weekend.

Following the severe storm event on Wednesday, Entsorgungs- und Servicebetrieb Bocholt (ESB) is currently clearing around 150 reported damage sites throughout the city.
