Noaberpad
The signposted hiking route "Noaberpad" winds its way along the German/Dutch border. The name of this hiking route refers to the neighbourhood of both countries.
This hiking trail follows former smugglers' routes along the German/Dutch border from Bad Nieuweschans in the Netherlands via Bocholt to Kleve on the Rhine in Germany. The trail is 415 km long in total.
Our tip: Start in Winterswijk in the Netherlands, with its many small farming communities called "buurtschappen", cross Oeding and Bocholt-Barlo on beautiful paths, walk through the city forest, past the Aasee lake and along the Aa river to the city centre.
The Noaberpad is marked with an internationally valid marker for continuous hiking trails.
