Heavenly hiking and feasting

DAY 1: After checking into a hotel in Bocholt, the route takes you to the idyllic Bocholter Aasee lake, past the LWL Museum Textilwerk with its very special weaving mill and along the beautiful footpath and cycle path along the Bocholter Aa river to the city centre. The colourful weekly market takes place here four times a week in front of the historic town hall. Eating ice cream, strolling through the shopping streets and the shopping centre or lingering on the newly designed banks of the Aa, the city centre offers a wide range of possibilities. For dinner, we suggest a selection of restaurants.

DAY 2 : Today we go on a hiking tour in the Dingdener Heide nature reserve. Extensive stretches of land in the Hohe Mark Nature Park with a variety of meadows and heathland make you want to take a break from hiking. You might even spot storks in their nest at the viewpoint.
The day is rounded off perfectly with a tasty 3-course menu in the evening at the hotel.

DAY 3: On the day of departure, we recommend a hike through the Bocholt city forest with its old trees, past the game reserves towards Diepenbrock Castle.
Continue to the neighbouring village of Rhede. Forest paths without inclines lead through the Winkelhauser Berge and the Hohenhorster Berge nature reserve back to the hotel.
