Burlo Fens

Peaceful and refreshing, adventurous, mysterious and exotic! The Vardingholter Venn in Burlo is located on the Flamingo Route and is about 18 km from Bocholt.

The 3.2 km long circular walk in the Vardingholter Venn runs partly on a dam built in 1983 for rewetting. In the meantime, adjacent manual peat bogs have filled with water again and the bog is beginning to grow again. For bird protection reasons, this circular walk may only be undertaken outside the breeding season (15.3.-15.6.).
