About the waste disposal and service company
The Entsorgungs- und Servicebetrieb Bocholt (ESB) is an economically independent institution of the City of Bocholt in accordance with the Eigenbetriebsverordnung NRW.
Since 1993, ESB has been responsible for waste management and street cleaning in the area of the city of Bocholt. In 2008, the ESB took over further services. It operates a recycling centre on Schaffeldstraße and is a contractual partner of the Dual Systems for the city area. In addition, it provides fleet and workshop services for various departments. Since 2008, the ESB has been responsible for road maintenance, green space maintenance and sewer maintenance.
The ESB employs a total of about 180 people. Management is the responsibility of the head of operations. Decisions of greater scope are the responsibility of the works committee or the city council. The head of operations draws up an annual business plan. The annual financial statements, which must be prepared in accordance with commercial law, are audited by an auditor.
The ESB employs industrial workers and salaried employees. If required, apprenticeships are offered in the following professions: Mechatronics technician/ Gardener/ Road builder. Applications can be sent directly to the ESB.
