Hiking in the Hohe Mark Nature Park
Pure recreation: The Hohe Mark Nature Park is located south of Bocholt. It combines parts of the Münsterland, the Lower Rhine and the northern Ruhr area into a cultural landscape covering almost two thousand square kilometres.
Here, for example, the Dingdener Heide route (15.5 km and 22 km) leads through the Büngersche and Dingdener Heide, through the Konstantinforst, around the Bocholter Aasee and through the Hohenhorster Berge nature reserve to the south of Rhede.
Details on Dingdener Heide:
Endangered meadow birds such as the curlew, redshank and black-tailed godwit breed here. Don't forget your binoculars if you want to watch the stork offspring from a viewing platform.
Tip for an excursion with children:
The nearby Konstantinforst is ideal for an exciting adventure walk in rubber boots.
