In 2019, the state of North Rhine-Westphalia launched the funding programme "Heimat. Future. North Rhine-Westphalia. We promote what connects people". This includes the "Heimat Prize", endowed with 5,000 euros, in which the city of Bocholt has always been involved. Bocholt-based associations and initiatives can apply for the prize for 2024 via an online form from now until 30 October.

The city of Bocholt is hosting the 1st Bocholt Association Fair on Sunday, 29 September. It is organised as a cooperation between the city of Bocholt's volunteer agency and the Shopping Arcades. Clubs can register now until 30 August.

The Bocholt Volunteer Card has now been awarded to 44 more committed Bocholters at Café BeLa. The awards were presented by Bocholt's mayor Thomas Kerkhoff together with Christian Tewiele from the Volunteer Promotion division and Volunteer Coordinator Rainer Howestädt.
