Volunteer Academy presents programme for the 2nd half of the year

Free training courses, events, workshops and seminars for volunteers and full-time staff can now be booked again at the Bocholt Volunteer Academy.

Under the label "Volunteer Academy Bocholt" - developed from the city-wide network "engagiertestadt Bocholt" - a demand-orientated programme is created every six months. The programme booklet for the second half of 2024 has now been published and can be accessed online at www.wir-fuer-bocholt.de/freiwilligenakademie.

Nine different courses

There are nine different programmes in total: Qualification for neighbourhood help and dementia support, seminars on board work, public relations and auditing in associations, as well as workshops on public speaking, Kundalini yoga and ChatGPT. The prevention course "abuse of power and sexualised violence" is an important basis for many voluntary positions and is therefore offered every six months.

Strong cooperation community

Since 2017, the cooperation between the adult education centre, family education centre, Verein Leben im Alter, Caritasverband für das Dekanat Bocholt, jusina e.V., Integrationsbüro der Stadt Bocholt and Freiwilligen-Agentur Bocholt has been offering a joint educational programme for associations and volunteers. The offer is also open to full-time employees of organisations who are involved in the coordination of volunteers.

All programmes are free of charge and can be booked with the respective provider. The programme booklets are available in the offices of all cooperation partners.
