Large senior citizens' fair on Neutorplatz
Event on Saturday, 2 September // Information stands and stage programme
On Saturday, 2 September, there will be the 8th Bocholt Senior Citizens' Fair from 10 am to 3 pm. This year, for the first time, it will take place on Neutorplatz. Visitors can look forward to an extensive programme and many information stands.
Under the motto "Mitten im Leben und immer mittendrin" (In the middle of life and always in the thick of it), more than 40 exhibitors will present their offers on the subject of old age on Neutorplatz.
In addition to many well-known companies and associations that were also involved in the previous senior citizens' fairs, such as Bocholt care services, senior citizens' homes, social institutions and medical supply stores, this time there will also be some new interesting offers. The fair offers a good variety of activities and information on the topic of "old age".
A special highlight of the fair is the appearance of the artist Klaus Renzel. He will present his programme "Comedy for Seniors". With a mix of clowning, stand-up comedy and music from the "good old days", he will give the event a humorous and entertaining touch.
Anyone who would like to get involved in voluntary work can find out about placement opportunities at the stand of the "Freiwilligen-Agentur Bocholt" (Bocholt Volunteer Agency) or contact the stands of voluntary groups directly. Together with the Repair Café, the Makerspace group Bocholt shows how sustainable repairs and actions protect the environment.
The group "Mouse Mobil", which has grown out of the project Engagiert-in-Bocholt, provides tutoring in tablet and co. and presents the topic of "Artificial Intelligence" (AI) at the fair. The senior citizens' advisory council of the city of Bocholt was able to inspire the company Entrance GmbH to have a stand at the senior citizens' fair. Visitors will have the opportunity to get to know the care robot "PEPPER".
What is available at the "Market of Possibilities" to live as self-determined and healthy a life as possible? What makes life easier? How can I be sporty on the road? Visitors to the fair will find answers to all these questions at the various stands.
Of course, the physical well-being will not be neglected. The Malteser Hilfsdienst will be catering the event. Visitors can enjoy coffee, cold drinks, sandwiches and soup. In addition to the attractions at the individual stands, there will be an entertaining stage programme.
