Good mood in the "Europe Gondola" at the funfair

EUROPE DIRECT Bocholt rented a gondola of the Ferris wheel on the Saturday of the fair. Interested citizens could test their knowledge about Europe with various quizzes online and enjoy the view of the European City of Bocholt. The action was awarded a prize by the Minister for Federal and European Affairs, International Affairs and Media of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and Head of the State Chancellery.

A special action in the context of the Bocholt funfair this year was organised by the EUROPE DIRECT Bocholt. During their visit on the Saturday of the funfair between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m., citizens could take a ride in the Europe Gondola, enjoy the European City of Bocholt from above and test their knowledge about the European Union with entertaining quizzes. This action was awarded by the Minister for Federal and European Affairs, International Affairs and Media of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and Head of the State Chancellery, Nathanael Liminski.

The citizens fought bravely with the questions about the EU.

"The citizens fought bravely with the questions about the EU", Sonja Wießmeier from EUROPE DIRECT Bocholt said happily. Especially in view of the European elections coming up next year, she thinks it is important for people to get involved with the EU.

The changeable weather could not deter those interested in Europe. Colleagues from the mayor's office welcomed the interested people at the foot of the Ferris wheel and showed them the way to the entrance of the Europe gondola. The gondola was therefore well occupied at every turn. The deputy mayor, Gudrun Koppers, did not miss the opportunity to inspect the action and board the gondola herself. She also took part in the sometimes difficult quiz questions.
