City of Bocholt promotes purchase of special bicycles

Since summer 2022, the city of Bocholt has been supporting its citizens with disabilities or assistance needs in the purchase of a suitable special bicycle. Applications can be made via the city's website.

Prerequisite for the subsidy: It must be a tricycle or a special bike for transporting another person and a severely disabled person's ID can be presented. The amount of support is a one-time payment of 30 percent of the purchase amount, up to a maximum of 2,500 euros.

Already some persons made use of this offer in the last months. To be on the way with the Fietse is in Bocholt part of the quality of life. It should therefore be possible for as many people as possible.

For this reason, it is particularly pleasing that the state of North Rhine-Westphalia has now made 20,000 euros available for the continuation of the Bocholt subsidy program, via the climate protection equity guideline. The promotion of special bikes will therefore continue in Bocholt without burdening the municipal budget.

Applications can be submitted digitally directly via the website of the city of Bocholt. Those who are not able to do so can also have the application form sent to them by email.
