Welcoming new citizens at the evening market
Yesterday evening, as every year, the Bocholt Economic Development Agency invited citizens who have moved to or returned to Bocholt within the last year to a special evening on the market square. Numerous citizens received a personal invitation from the Economic Development Agency after registering as new citizens at the Tourist Information Centre. 25 new citizens and their companions accepted the invitation to a cosy drink.
Ludger Dieckhues, Managing Director of Wirtschaftsförderung Bocholt, opened the event with a warm welcome to the new residents, emphasising the advantages and special features that Bocholt has to offer. Mayor Thomas Kerkhoff then took the floor and welcomed the new arrivals to the heart of the city.
After the business development team had presented the new residents with information material about their new home and the surrounding area, including drinks vouchers, the evening was rounded off with cool drinks and antipasti at the evening market. The evening was mainly characterised by getting to know each other personally and making new contacts. Mayor Thomas Kerkhoff and the city marketing manager chatted with the guests for a long time in front of the historic town hall.
