Bocholt's first job exchange opens up new prospects for skilled workers threatened by unemployment

The "Bündnis für Arbeit im Kreis Borken" is organising the first Bocholt job fair on Friday, 11 October 2024, to open up new career prospects for skilled workers threatened by unemployment. The event will take place in the Flender company's assembly hall.

The target group in particular: The many regional businesses and companies that continue to have a high demand for skilled labour. They are given the opportunity to present their vacancies and make direct contact with qualified specialists.

The economic situation in Germany remains tense, which can also be felt in Westmünsterland. Skilled workers in Bocholt and the surrounding area are also affected by possible redundancies due to the current difficult economic situation in some companies. In order to offer these people career prospects at an early stage, the "Bündnis für Arbeit im Kreis Borken" has launched a job exchange for the first time. The alliance includes the Borken district, the city of Bocholt, the Bocholt Economic Development Agency, IG Metall, the IHK Nord Westfalen, the Coesfeld Employment Agency, the Borken District Craftsmen's Association, the Business Development Agency (WFG) for the Borken district and the association "Aktive Unternehmen Westmünsterland e.V." (AIW). The works councils of affected companies are also involved.

Qualified specialists with different job profiles

The Bocholt job fair will take place on Friday, 11 October 2024, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the assembly hall of the Flender company, Alfred-Flender-Straße 77 in Bocholt. The aim is to open up new career opportunities at an early stage for skilled workers at risk of unemployment from various sectors - including commercial and administrative professions, mechanical and industrial engineering, design, mechatronics and automation, IT, warehouse management, energy technology, product development, technical drawing and many more. Companies from the region are invited to present their vacancies or new jobs to be created and to make contact with skilled workers. The Bocholt Job Fair aims to help stabilise the local labour market and provide career prospects at an early stage.

Registration for companies until 20 September

Participation in the Bocholt Job Fair is free of charge for companies. Interested companies can register online until 20 September 2024 via the City of Bocholt website atwww.bocholt.de/bocholterjobboerse.
