Bocholt pub night on 30 April

Music fans can once again look forward to a traditional event: the Bocholt pub night will take place on Wednesday, 30 April 2025. 2025 has seen an increase and 15 pubs are offering their guests a varied music programme. "Hopefully the weather will play along at the end of April so that the temperatures are so pleasant that it will be great fun to wander through the city with friends and celebrate", says Tim Becker from Bocholt City Marketing and responsible for "bands in town".

Stadtmarketing Bocholt organises the music night in cooperation with the participating restaurateurs. Getränke Westhoff, the Bitburger Group, McDonald's, the Kinodrom and Volksbank Bocholt are supporting the musical pub crawl, so that fans of good live music will get their money's worth.

The traditional concept of "bands in town" is diversity: from rock to pop to electro, rock'n roll, jazz, blues, hits or covers - every fan will find what they are looking for. "It's all in the mix", says Tim Becker, describing his choice of music and recommending that you let yourself be inspired by the different musical styles. Every visitor is free to choose - but can also spend the evening in just one pub. From 8.00 pm to 1.00 am, everything is live.

In addition to tried and tested restaurants, new pubs are also taking part this year. The duo "The Rockgerät" will be performing in the Bitburger Bierhaus by Mario, which is taking part for the first time. According to the motto: one is a trained musician and perfectionist, the other is a self-taught rock star! The big hits of the 80s, 90s, 00s and NDW in the unmistakable Rockgerät style will guarantee fun and a great atmosphere. At Streetlife, "Stevie X" plays with his band. The charismatic frontman takes everyone on a journey through the classic rock era to pop music. After a break, the trio of the "Monkeyman Band" will once again be stopping off at Herzblut to celebrate their music with every fibre of their being. Their mix of funk, soul and groove turns any venue into a big stage.

"Threedom D.U.O." performs at Rollis Bistro-Café: The duo guarantees good live music and an exuberant atmosphere. They play everything that's fun, from Bon Jovi and Aerosmith to Heroes del Silencio. The musicians from "Mama Mucke" will once again be performing at Björn's Kostbar. With two acoustic guitars, a bass ukulele, a converted cajon and five pointed tongues, "Mama Mucke" manage to bring the feeling of the 90s and 00s to the stage. With "Coltplay", a band will be performing at the Freudenhaus that aims to come as close as possible to the British original. The ambition of the four-piece formation goes far beyond simply playing down the catchy Coldplay melodies. "Django Flint" will be performing at Diebels Fasskeller again in 2025. The musicians for the finest handmade music made in Bocholt. They will be supported by their friend Florian Herda on electric guitar, which promises to be a huge party. "Mälka light" transports the Motown feeling to Studio B with pure joy of playing and honest and handmade groove.

The band "Plug & Play Duo" will be performing at the Adana 01 venue. A band that will inspire the audience with good musical craftsmanship, professional vocals and a lot of charisma and feeling for music. At Spencer's Bistro / Kinodrom, the "Racous Red Roosters" will offer their audience a wild and electrifying mix of blues, garage, trash and rockabilly. In the Aber Hallo, the thoroughbred musician "Michael Ulm" will entertain the audience. In addition to his voice, he will also be playing guitar, piano, bass, drums and ukulele. The duo "Son Latinos" will be performing in the Tapavino Bar. The two musicians will present music and poetry from Latin America and Spain. Their music is characterised by cheerful songs, touching ballads, pulsating dance music and an exuberant zest for life. In the Stadthotel hall, "Querbeat" rock the stage and delight their audience with a varied repertoire that spans the rock and pop music of the 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s. The duo "Turn On" takes excursions into the world of Schlager, the hits of the Neue Deutsche Welle and the disco era of the 70s in the St.-Georg-Stuben.

The "baccara" club opens its doors at 10.00 pm and invites you to the "bands in town" after-show party with "DJ Connex" from 21. The DJ-Plus band will provide guests with unconditional music throughout the evening and into the night. With saxophone and drums/percussion, they bring the show to a boil and guarantee a 100% danceable party. Tickets can be purchased at the "baccara" box office from 10.00 pm to midnight. After midnight, every guest who can show a "bands in town" wristband is of course admitted free of charge.
