Funding for special bikes

The city of Bocholt also supports citizens with disabilities or assistance needs in purchasing a suitable special bicycle. Travelling by bike is part of the quality of life in Bocholt, fun outdoor exercise, everyday and leisure enjoyment - hopefully for a few more people in the future.

Requirements:

1. It must be a tricycle for people with disabilities or a special bike for transporting another person,
2. a severely disabled person's pass with the G, aG, H, Bl, B mark must be presented and
3. the bicycle must be purchased from a specialised dealer in Germany.

Classic three-wheeled cargo bikes are not subsidised! Used bicycles of the above-mentioned types can also be subsidised, provided they are purchased from a specialist dealer.

The amount of the subsidy is

• one-off 30 per cent of the purchase price,
• up to a maximum of 2,500 euros.
