New home, new opportunities
In recent years, many people with a refugee background have come to Bocholt. Many citizens, together with a large number of associations and welfare organisations, the city administration and politicians, are taking care of these people.
We want to give refugees a new home, a new chance. To this end, the city has developed a concept for action together with volunteers.
Support concept for refugees in Bocholt
The municipality is responsible for providing humane accommodation and care for refugees so that they can integrate quickly.
The goals of the Bocholt care concept are:
- Promote the early integration of refugees (language, housing, school, training, work).
- Strengthening and integrating the voluntary commitment of citizens
The sooner it is possible to use the strengths, skills and qualifications of refugees, the sooner they can live independently and stand on their own two feet. Bocholt wants to break new ground with professional structures, strengthened by civic engagement.
Who does what? Municipal accommodation in Bocholt
EWIBO GmbH operates various refugee shelters for Bocholt on behalf of the city of Bocholt. Every adult refugee is in possession of a health card.
