Work on the cycle path on Meckenemstraße

During the Easter holidays, from 14 April 2025, the cycle path on Meckenemstraße in the area of Mariengymnasium between Berliner Platz and Ravardistraße will be renovated. During the construction work, cycle and pedestrian traffic will be diverted and the bus stop at Mariengymnasium will not be served during this period. The work is being carried out during the school holidays to avoid any problems with school traffic.

The city of Bocholt would like to point out that during the construction work, one lane on Meckenemstraße will have to be used temporarily for the construction site equipment. For this reason, temporary traffic obstructions are to be expected. Road users are asked to adjust to the changed traffic routing and to use alternative routes if possible.

The construction work is scheduled to begin on Monday, 14 April 2025 and is planned to be completed in good time before Easter, so that the regular flow of traffic is guaranteed again at the start of school after the holidays. The city of Bocholt asks all those affected for their understanding for the necessary restrictions.
