Traffic: Westring closed on one side for roadworks from Monday
Work on the access road to the new sports hall // Closure for three weeks
On Monday, 24 June, work will begin on the access road to the new sports hall of the Bocholt-West vocational college on Westring. For the work, one side of the Westring (L602) carriageway will have to be closed at this point for an estimated three weeks.
The sports hall is a joint project between the Borken district and the city of Bocholt. The access road to the site is being upgraded for rescue and emergency services and the work should be completed by around 15 July (weather permitting). At the same time, a construction site access road will also be set up for the Bocholt-West vocational college.
The Dinxperloer Straße carriageway will remain open during the entire construction period, and the Westring Tunnel will also remain open in this direction. A separate diversion will be signposted for cyclists travelling from Werther Straße in the direction of the vocational college.
In order to avoid increased traffic volumes in the affected areas as far as possible, information boards in Hemden and Spork will indicate the roadworks and alternative routes in German and Dutch.
