Traffic: Sewer work causes closure on Dietrichstraße
City recommends two routes for pedestrians and cyclists to pass roadworks
Following the barrier-free conversion of the Nordwall/Pollstiege/Dietrichstraße junction, sewer work will begin today, Monday 9 September, in the immediate area of the junction on Dietrichstraße. The area will be closed to traffic for this purpose. This means that it will not be possible to enter or exit Dietrichstraße/Hermannstraße from the ring road.
Pedestrians and cyclists have two alternatives for crossing the ring road: Firstly, the western traffic light crossing at the corner of Pollstiege/Nordwall can be used in the direction of Dietrichstraße (also in the opposite direction). Cyclists must dismount for this crossing option and can only get back on their bikes after the Dietrichstraße construction site.
On the other hand, the city recommends turning right through Rebenstraße coming from the bus station and then turning left via Nordstraße to pass the Nordwall/Ostwall junction in the direction of Adenauerallee/Herzogstraße (and vice versa).
The sewer work will last until approx. mid-October.
