Traffic: Herzogstraße becomes a "one-way street" by summer
Reason: Extensive rehabilitation of the bike and pedestrian path
On Wednesday, May 11, extensive renovation work will begin on the bicycle and pedestrian path on Herzogstraße. Until the summer, Herzogstraße will therefore only be passable as a "one-way street" from St. Georg-Gymnasium in the direction of the Dinxperloer Straße intersection.
Work will begin in the section between Dinxperloer Strasse and Markgrafenstrasse, then from Markgrafenstrasse in the direction of Adenauerallee.
Due to the construction work, Herzogstraße will become a "one-way street" for motor vehicle traffic in the direction of Dinxperloer Straße, which means that it will not be possible to turn onto Herzogstraße from Dinxperloer Straße. Bicycle traffic will be maintained in both directions despite the construction site.
People who know the area are advised to drive around the construction site. A detour route is not planned.
