Secure bike parking: Now conveniently possible with the new app

Cyclists have been able to park their bikes and e-bikes securely at four locations in Bocholt since the start of 2024. To make booking easier, the radbox.nrw app can now also be used on iOS and Android devices.

With the new app, short and long-term parkers can conveniently book a secure parking space in Bocholt city centre after creating an account once. To do this, one of the four locations (Bustreff, Berliner Platz, Bahnhof, Liebfrauenplatz) must be selected and the desired rental period specified.

Depending on the location, parking for six hours costs between 50 and 70 cents, with a discounted price of 30 to 50 cents for holders of a public transport season ticket. A rental period of up to one year is possible.

The fee can be paid by PayPal, credit card or SEPA direct debit. There is also a machine for cash payment at the bike station at the Bustreff, but this does not provide change and only allows 24-hour bookings.

Parking facilities for secure parking are available at the Bustreff, the railway station and Liebfrauenplatz. In contrast, there are six separate bike boxes at Berliner Platz where bikes can be locked up individually. E-bikes can also be charged while parked there.
