Trend sport from Hungary
Teqball is a type of football table tennis played on a curved table. In singles or doubles, a football must be played onto the opponent's half of the table with a maximum of three touches of the ball.
According to the International Teqball Federation (FITEQ), the sport originated in Hungary and has been played since 2012. Around 5,000 players are now registered worldwide and there are 141 national associations. In Germany, the sport is organised by the German Teqball Association (Deutscher Teqball Verband e.V.).
According to the Teqball Association's website, all body parts except the arms and hands may be used in Teqball. Teqball is used by many football clubs as technical training, and there are also national and international tournaments, leagues and a world championship.
