Sport: All grass pitches in Bocholt closed

Due to the current rainfall, all grass pitches in the city area are currently unplayable and therefore closed today, Thursday 27 July 2023. Also affected is the sports facility in Suderwick, where the football city championships for adults are taking place this week.

This was the decision of the municipal sports ground inspection of the ESB after checking the condition of the grounds on Thursday morning. The sports facility in Suderwick was inspected by representatives of the ESB, the club and the city of Bocholt because of the city championships taking place there. In consultation with all parties involved, the city decided to close the grass pitches there so that they could be opened and used on the following days of the tournament.

The artificial turf and clay pitches in the city area are not affected by the closure.
