Bathing season at the Aasee begins

The bay at Bocholt's Aasee is officially open for bathing as of Monday, 22 May. This was announced by the Bocholt city council.

On weekdays, swimming in the bay is allowed from 1-6pm. On weekends, public holidays and during the summer holidays, swimming hours are from 10am-6pm. Swimming is only allowed during these supervised hours and up to the buoy chain. The flag on the supervision house must be on "green" during this time.

"As with any public bathing area, the water quality is constantly monitored during the bathing season to ensure safe bathing," explains Thomas Boekhorst from the City of Bocholt. The bathing season lasts until mid-September.
