New EWIBO Managing Director Azra Zürn starts work

The municipal subsidiary EWIBO has a new manager: Azra Zürn takes up her position as Managing Director.

Zürn was most recently head of the Youth and Social Affairs department at the town of Rheinberg. She completed her Master's degree in social inclusion (health and education). The 37-year-old lives in Mülheim, is married and the mother of two children. "I am delighted to be able to help shape the future of EWIBO with my team and the Supervisory Board and thus make a valuable contribution to the city of Bocholt", says Zürn. A good, trusting relationship with her future employees is particularly important to the new EWIBO manager. She will introduce herself to her team at a staff meeting next week.

Mayor Thomas Kerkhoff, who is also Chairman of the Supervisory Board of EWIBO, says: "I am delighted that in Azra Zürn we have been able to recruit a committed manager who will competently drive forward the restructuring process at EWIBO in close coordination with the city of Bocholt as the 'parent company' - a good prerequisite for sharpening and strengthening EWIBO for its important core social tasks in our city."

The mayor would also like to thank Dominik Hanning. The head of the city's social services department had taken over the management of the organisation on an interim basis for almost a year. Hanning will support Zürn during the familiarisation phase and then end his role as Managing Director.
