The city administration of Bocholt is offering a free training course for voluntary legal guardians, authorised representatives and interested parties on Thursday, 13 March. The event will take place from 6.30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the premises of the Workers' Welfare Association (Kreuzstraße 16). The focus this time is on clinical pictures.
This evening's speaker is Gabriele Theling, an employee of the AWO care organisation and a legal carer herself. The presentation will focus on various clinical pictures that can occur in the context of care, including psychiatric illnesses, dementia and dealing with challenging behaviour in old age. Theling will discuss the causes, symptoms and treatment options.
She will also shed light on the impact of these illnesses on the work situation and the financial consequences. Another focus will be on communication and dealing with people with the illness. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions after the presentation.
The training is part of the training programme "Gut geschult - Gut vertreten" and is organised in cooperation with the working group for the care system, the care authority of the city of Bocholt and the care associations of SkF and AWO Bocholt.
