Sick trees on Lowicker Straße and Böggeringstraße are removed

Friday, 31 January // Short-term traffic restrictions

Next Friday, 31 January, a total of 54 lime trees will be removed along Lowicker Straße and Böggeringstraße by a specialist company. The roads will be closed on one side for a short time.

The affected trees are diseased. Examinations have shown that the lime trees have significant damage to the bark due to strong sunlight. The trees have lost their self-healing powers and are no longer stable and safe for traffic. Their removal is necessary to prevent accidents. The city of Bocholt is examining suitable locations for replanting.

During the greening work, there may be short-term traffic restrictions due to a one-sided closure in the area of the felling work.
