Former and current Bocholt city leaders meet
Invitation on the occasion of the 800th anniversary celebrations
On the occasion of the 800th anniversary celebrations, former city leaders met again at the invitation of the city of Bocholt.
These included Hans-Josef Dahlen, who was city director from 1991-1998. He was succeeded by Klaus Ehling, initially as city director from 1998 and, after the abolition of the dual municipal leadership, as the city's first full-time mayor from 1999-2004. Today Ehling is a board member of Münsterland e.V..
As city planning officer from 1980-1992, Klaus Fehlemann helped shape the architectural face of the city with many building projects. He was succeeded by Ulrich Paßlick, who held this position from 1992-2016.
Jürgen Elmer, now Managing Director of Bocholter Energie- und Wasserversorgung, was responsible for the city's finances as treasurer from 2006-2013.
The current administrative board, led by Mayor Thomas Kerkhoff, First City Councillor Thomas Waschki, City Planning Officer Daniel Zöhler and Treasurer Jennifer Schlaghecken, thanked the former city leaders: "They have all led the city of Bocholt, accompanied it, are connected to it and have rendered outstanding services to the city and each made themselves irreplaceable in their own way." Bocholt through the ages, as the guests were able to experience during the joint city walk to the "Lernwerk and the historic town hall, among other places.
