Bocholt native becomes new Ewibo Managing Director

Lilian Spogahn starts in February // Most recently employed by the district of Wesel

The Bocholt development and operating company (Ewibo) is getting a new managing director: Lilian Spogahn from Bocholt will take over the management. On Thursday, the 40-year-old social education graduate introduced herself to the Supervisory Board of the municipal subsidiary. Spogahn, who currently works as an equal opportunities officer for the district of Wesel, will begin her new role in February.

"Under the leadership of Mrs Zürn, the realignment process of Ewibo was decisively advanced. She has successfully set the company on a new course", emphasises Mayor Thomas Kerkhoff. "With Mrs Spogahn, we are now gaining a managing director who will continue along this path with a fresh perspective and innovative approaches."

Until Ms Spogahn takes office, the management of Ewibo will be taken over temporarily by Anna Niemann, Head of Compliance at the City of Bocholt. The reason for this is that the previous managing director Azra Zürn (as reported) is leaving the city of Bocholt at the end of the year.

Prior to her role as Equal Opportunities Officer at the Wesel district administration, Spogahn focussed on the strategic development of social infrastructure and the implementation of public welfare-oriented projects on behalf of the public administration.

The course for the change at the top of Ewibo was set this week: The employment contract was signed at the beginning of the week.
