From Friday, 28 March 2025, interested parties can apply for building plots in the new Mussum urban development area. An online form will be available until 25 April. Plans include 21 detached houses and 7 semi-detached houses.

It will be possible to apply for one of the building plots in the new development area in the Mussum district of Bocholt from 28 March. The corresponding online form will be activated on the city's website at 9 am. Interested citizens can submit their applications up to and including 25 April. The planned residential development area comprises a total of around 30 plots.

Mayor Thomas Kerkhoff emphasises: "Bocholt is and will remain an attractive city for families. With this offer, we are responding to the continuing high demand for living space in Bocholt."

The Mussum site is characterised by its convenient location and family-friendly infrastructure and complements the existing range of residential development sites. All information on the application process as well as an overview of other building sites in the city of Bocholt can be found on the city's website:

The plots are allocated according to the municipal points system, which was adopted by Bocholt City Council in 2014: Applicants receive 10 plus points per underage child living in their own household. There are 20 minus points for owner-occupied property in Bocholt. In the event of a tie, the date of entry on the city's list of interested parties or the date of application if there is no entry on the list of interested parties will count.
