Grants for private gardens and facades
City of Bocholt draws attention to remaining funds from the Biodiversity Programme // Up to 400 euros per plot // Submit application now
Bocholt citizens can now still apply for funding for sustainable purposes, such as greening facades or planting gravel areas. Remaining funds from the programme to strengthen local biodiversity are still available. The city administration points this out.
With its support programme, the city of Bocholt offers citizens and local businesses incentives to make the urban area greener and more colourful. The ecological design of private gardens or properties plays an important role in this. Flowering meadows, perennial gardens on former gravel areas or green facades of warehouses contribute to ecological upgrading.
For the near-natural design of private gardens, material costs for seeds, perennials, shrubs and trees are subsidised by 50 percent.
For the deconstruction of gravel gardens, the costs for removal and disposal of gravel, gravel or concrete from gravel gardens and the delivery and placement of topsoil that are recognised as eligible for funding are subsidised.
The maximum subsidy per plot is 400 euros. Funds can also be applied for for the greening of roofs and facades. A separate funding programme is available for Bocholt businesses under the title "Business and Biodiversity".
All information and applications for municipal funding are available online on the municipal web portal at www.bocholt.de/biodiversitaet.
