Music school launches new programme // Registration now open
The new singing class "Singing Stars" has started at the music school in Bocholt Isselburg and is aimed at children aged 6 and over who enjoy singing. Rehearsals take place every Monday.
Professional singer and singing teacher Alishia Funken has been teaching at the Bocholt music school since the beginning of the year and is now leading the new singing class. Songs and choral pieces are developed together in a child-friendly way, and body percussion and movement to accompany the singing are also on the programme.
"I am very keen to get children excited about singing together", explains music school teacher Alishia Funken. "It is better for younger children to sing in a group than to take singing lessons alone", she continues. Healthy vocal training for children's voices also plays an important role. Funken also has a lot of experience in the field of vocal physiology.
Rehearsals started on 7 April with motivated young singers. They really like the group name "Singing Stars", reports Alishia Funken. Rehearsals take place every Monday from 15:50 to 16:35 in the LernWerk (Industriestraße 1). They start again after the Easter holidays.
Registration is now possible via the Bocholt Music School website under the category "Vocals". The monthly fee is 25.50 euros.
