Cellissimo: 30 cellists present their skills
Music school concert in the Apostelkirche
On Sunday, 6 April 2025, the Bocholt-Isselburg Music School will be holding a final concert with young and old cellists. The concert starts at 6 pm in the Apostelkirche, Biemenhorster Weg 15 in Bocholt. Registration is not required. Admission is free.
This year, the Bocholt-Isselburg Music School is once again organising the Cellissimo project, which is so popular with the pupils. Music school teacher Christiane Schröder and her colleague Christina Schubach are organising a joint final concert with all participants of the rehearsal weekend. They will be supported by the cellist of the Dortmund Philharmonic Orchestra Hauke Hack from Dortmund.
During the rehearsal weekend, 30 young and old cellists will work on a programme entitled "Verliebt ins Cello". The youngest participant is 6 years old, but some former pupils will also take part in the workshop. Together, the pupils present the works they have previously worked on in a varied final concert.
"The pupils are really looking forward to the weekend together", reports music school teacher Christiane Schröder. The pieces have already been prepared in lessons for several weeks and brought together during the weekend, says Schröder.
After all, making music together is what gives the young and old musicians the greatest pleasure, working on something together and presenting it to parents and friends, says Schröder. "This time there is music for happy and unhappy lovers. Heavy metal fans will get their money's worth, but there will also be classics by Mozart and Telemann," says Schröder happily.
