Advent concert by the music school on 1 Advent
Sunday, 1 December, 4 pm in the Christuskirche Bocholt // Admission free
On Sunday, 1 December, the Bocholt-Isselburg Music School invites you to a public Advent concert with selected ensembles. The concert starts at 4 pm in the Christuskirche (Münsterstraße 19). Admission is free.
Four ensembles from the Bocholt-Isselburg music school are looking forward to their concert on 1 Advent. "Over 30 music students aged between 7 and 21 have been rehearsing a varied programme over the past few weeks", says Bocholt's music school director Claudia Borgers. The repertoire includes Christmas carols from all over the world as well as classical and modern works from a wide range of eras.
The Advent concert will be opened by the mini strings and the string band, made up of the youngest string players at the music school, both under the direction of music school teacher Christiane Schröder. The two ensembles will be accompanied on the piano by music school teacher Gabriele Nußberger.
The recorder ensemble and a recorder quartet, each under the direction of Theres Kommescher, will play Renaissance and street music and Pirates of Caribbean in the second half of the concert.
At the end of the concert, all the players perform together, giving the audience an impression of the versatility of the music school's ensemble work.
