FW Bocholt: Supposed roof truss fire turns out to be a false alarm

Bocholt (ots) -

The Bocholt fire brigade was alerted to an alleged roof truss fire in Ottostrasse at 12.23 pm on Sunday afternoon. The neighbour of a detached house saw thick smoke coming from the roof of the residential building opposite and called the fire brigade.

Once on site, however, the emergency services quickly realised that there was no fire. The fire brigade did not need to intervene and the 11 firefighters were able to return to the fire station ready for action.
