FW Bocholt: Several false alarms keep emergency services busy during the night
Bocholt (ots) -
In the night from Monday to Tuesday, the Bocholt fire brigade was alerted to a total of three incidents between 11.20 pm and 4.30 am. However, all of the call-outs turned out to be false alarms without fire incidents.
The first operation took the fire brigade to the industrial park after the automatic fire alarm system of a company located there reported a fire. However, it turned out on site that the alarm had been triggered by extensive cleaning work. Shortly afterwards, the fire brigade had to be called out to the same site again as the fire alarm system sounded once more - this time without a cause of fire.
At around 3.15 am, the emergency services were called out again, this time to a commercial complex in Westend. Here, too, the automatic fire alarm system had signalled a fire. However, it was quickly established that a fogging system had been triggered and that there was no fire. The premises were thoroughly ventilated so that the operation could be ended after about an hour.
