FW Bocholt: Room fire on the Stadtring

Bocholt (ots) - At around 4.35 pm, the Bocholt fire and rescue services were alerted to a fire in a room on Theodor-Heuss-Ring. On arrival at the scene, thick smoke was billowing out of the building.

The occupants were able to leave the building on their own before the emergency services arrived. One person suffered minor injuries and was treated by the emergency services. Two teams, protected by breathing apparatus, quickly extinguished the fire and prevented it from spreading further. In total, the volunteer fire brigade and the rescue service were on site with seven vehicles and 27 full-time and volunteer firefighters.
