FW Bocholt: New Year's Eve balance sheet 2023

The transition to the new year was a busy one for the Bocholt fire brigade. In total, the fire brigade dealt with 13 fire incidents and 33 rescue service operations.
The majority of the rescue service operations took place at night, although no injuries were caused by New Year's Eve fireworks.
The fire incidents involved smaller fires as well as a carport fire and a burning gas cylinder, which caused one person to suffer burn injuries.
On New Year's Eve, the full-time firefighters were supported by volunteers from the volunteer fire brigade. An additional ambulance was also manned 24 hours a day for the rescue service.
A total of 35 full-time and volunteer firefighters were on duty at the fire and rescue station.
