FW Bocholt: Hedge fire

At around 13:15, the Bocholt fire brigade was alerted to a hedge fire on Lowicker Straße.
On site, a hedge was on fire over a length of approx. 10 metres. An employee of an oil spill removal company who happened to be passing by with his lorry was able to contain the fire with the help of the water he had brought with him until the fire brigade arrived. The fire was finally extinguished by the fire brigade, a neighbouring residential building was checked and cleared of smoke. No one was injured.
The fire brigade was on the scene with a total of three vehicles and nine firefighters.
