FW Bocholt: Gas leak on Krumme Straße in Bocholt-Mussum
FW Bocholt (ots) -
A gas pipe was damaged during the laying of fibre optic cables. The affected area was cordoned off by the fire brigade. Control measurements were carried out both outdoors and in the residential buildings as well as in the sewage system. Elevated readings were detected in the rainwater sewer. The rainwater sewer was then ventilated using a ventilation unit. Fire protection was ensured throughout the entire operation. The gas pipe was repaired by Bocholter Energie- und Wasserversorgungs GmbH.
The fire and rescue services of the city of Bocholt were deployed for 2.5 hours with a total of 12 firefighters and 5 vehicles.
