FW Bocholt: Garage fire with spread to residential building

The fire and rescue services of the city of Bocholt were alerted to a garage fire on Schollstraße at around 2.25 pm.

On arrival at the scene, the occupants had already left the building unharmed. There was a fire in a garage in the basement. The smoke had already spread to the entire residential building.

Two teams, protected by breathing apparatus, quickly extinguished the fire and then cleared the building of smoke. Due to the smoke, the building is no longer habitable for the time being.

The volunteer fire brigade and the rescue service of the city of Bocholt were on site with a total of 22 full-time and volunteer firefighters and six vehicles.
