"SSK Beach": Stadtsparkasse opens sandpit for children on Neutorplatz
The new sand playground "SSK Beach" on Neutorplatz, which Stadtsparkasse Bocholt has built in front of Café Imping, can now be used just in time for the upcoming summer holidays. Here, children can dig in the sand, build castles and give free rein to their creativity. Equipped with sand toys and a play excavator, the sandpit offers plenty of fun on a generous surface area of 6 x 6 metres and is equipped with high-quality play sand, which is perfect for creative building projects and exuberant play.
The sand play area provides another meeting place for families in the heart of the city centre. This exciting new facility offers children and families a unique opportunity to enjoy a little sand and beach atmosphere in the centre of the city and spend time together.
Comfortable seating around the sandpit invites parents and families to linger and allows for relaxed and comfortable supervision. An additional awning will soon be installed over the sandpit to ensure that the children are also protected from the sun.
As a special promotion during the summer holidays, there will be free water ice for all children in the sandpit every Friday during the holidays between 14:30 and 16:30 from 12 July 2024 (offer available while stocks last).
With the new sandpit, Stadtsparkasse would like to further revitalise Neutorplatz and also offer something for the little ones. The sandpit is intended to become a meeting point for families, where families and children can enjoy themselves and spend time playing. Parents can relax while their children play, making a visit to the city centre less stressful and more enjoyable. In this way, our city centre can be made even more lively, family-friendly and attractive, which promotes both social cohesion and economic development.
