Nativity scenes from all over the world
International nativity scene exhibition in Suderwick and Dinxperlo until 6 January
In the German-Dutch border towns of Bocholt-Suderwick (D), Dinxperlo and Breedenbroek (both NL), 38 nativity scenes from all over the world are on public display until 6 January.
The 7th International Nativity Scene Tour is organised by many volunteers. "The route of the tour with 38 cot locations is about 10 km long and starts at Apostelweg 4 at the entrance to the Emsingweg", reports Rosi Tuente, who is organising the International Crib Tour for the 7th time this year. The tour runs through Suderwick (D), Dinxperlo (NL) and Breedenbroek (NL).
Those interested can find the route on the flyer, which is available in many public places in the three border towns, e.g. at petrol stations or bakeries.
Life-size figures
In the street "Lange Fohre", very close to the Grenzblickatelier, there is a nativity scene with life-size figures.
The deputy mayor of Bocholt, Gudrun Koppers, and the mayor of Aalten, Anton Stapelkamp, honoured the commitment of the volunteers around Rosi Tuente at the opening. Both emphasised the "value of the Nativity Scene Tour for cross-border cooperation in the region" and expressed their hope for peace.
