Funding programmes for roof and façade greening & biodiversity

As a climate-friendly municipality, the city of Bocholt promotes biodiversity on private land in Bocholt's urban area and nature-orientated garden design.

This is promoted

Biodiversity for private gardens

• Up to 50% subsidy, maximum €1,000

Material costs for certified regional seeds, native perennials and native woody planting material can be subsidised.

Restoration of gravel gardens

• Up to 50% subsidy, maximum €400

Costs for the removal and disposal of crushed stone, gravel, concrete and new topsoil can be subsidised.

Tip: Both subsidy programmes can be combined, subject to the maximum limits for each subsidy programme.

Roof greening

• Up to 50% subsidy, maximum € 5,000

Extensive green roofs with a substrate layer of at least 8 cm thickness and preparatory measures such as the construction of the layers, the protective fleece, the filter mat, the drainage layer, the substrate and the plants can be subsidised.

Facade greening

• Up to 50% subsidy, maximum €500

Funding is available for façade greening and preparatory measures such as the removal of sealed floor coverings, soil preparation, climbing aids, façade greening systems, bee and insect-friendly plants.
