Around the world more than 16 times: Bocholt beats last year's CITY CYCLING result

The campaign period for this year's CITY CYCLING for Bocholt ran until 21 May. With over 642,000 kilometres and over 2,800 active cyclists, the previous year's figures were surpassed in Bocholt.

Bocholt is currently in first place in the nationwide competition in the 50-100,000 inhabitants size category. However, this is (for the time being) a snapshot: the competition in other cities is still ongoing or still to come. Sascha Terörde from the City of Bocholt's Climate Protection Department reports: "The final ranking will only become clear in a few months' time, when all participating cities in Germany have completed their campaign period".

Bocholt's CITY CYCLISTS can add the kilometres cycled in the period from 1 to 21 May 2024 until Tuesday, 28 May 2024, at www.stadtradeln.de or in the CITY CYCLING app in their personal online calendar. "It would be a shame if the kilometres cycled for Bocholt were not counted", says Terörde. The various prizes will only be raffled off after this supplement has been completed. Anyone who has problems with the supplement can contact klimaschutz(at)bocholt(dot)de. Terörde: "Every kilometre counts! Many thanks to all active Bocholt city cyclists!"
