The Bocholt-Rhede-Isselburg Adult Education Centre invites you to a fascinating lecture on Thursday, 18 April, entitled "Large-scale physical experiments around the world". Dr Philipp Heimann from Duisburg will take the audience on an entertaining journey through the fascinating world of physics. The lecture begins at 19:30 in the Bocholt Media Centre, Hindenburgstr. 5.

Dr Philipp Heimann, who holds a doctorate in physics and works full-time as a software developer, has set himself the goal of overcoming the often dull and grey image of physics as we know it from school lessons. He will take participants on an exciting journey to various large-scale physics experiments around the globe. Unexpected places will be explored that will amaze the audience.
The lecture is aimed at all interested parties, regardless of their background or previous knowledge of physics. Heimann will present complex physical phenomena in an easily understandable and entertaining way.
Admission is 6 euros (concessions 5 euros). Registration is required and can be done at www.vhs-bocholt.de to reserve a place. Remaining places will be allocated at the box office on the evening of the event.
