The workshop, led by Joris Bijkerk, is aimed at adults and young people and children aged 10 and over can also take part. The workshop involves sawing, drilling and hammering. The result is a decorative and at the same time useful insect hotel for your own garden, for the house wall on the terrace or even on the balcony. Filled with different materials, it becomes a home and breeding ground for all kinds of insects. It is popular with small wild bees, which, unlike our honeybees, do not live in colonies but lead a solitary existence. Wild bees are important pollinators of flowers. An insect hotel therefore makes an important contribution to nature.
You will need to bring a pair of secateurs. The building material is provided free of charge.
