The special film: "15 years"

She was innocently sentenced to 15 years in prison for a murder. The real culprit, her childhood sweetheart, is an internationally acclaimed superstar and must now atone... The Bocholt cultural administration invites cinema fans to the drama "15 Jahre" at the Kinodrom on Tuesday, 23 April. The film starts at 8 pm and admission costs 6 euros. Holders of the "Kulturpass" have free admission.

At a young age, pianist Jenny was considered a piano prodigy. She is imprisoned for 15 years for a murder she did not commit. The real murderer is her childhood sweetheart, who has since become an internationally acclaimed star. Her faith in God and her relationship with a Syrian musician begin to falter as she feels an increasing desire for revenge.

The two meet again after years on a TV show and a fight to the death ensues. A moving showdown with an outstanding acting performance by Hanna Herzsprung in the role of Jenny, which she also played 15 years ago in the first film "4 Minuten".

The film is directed by Chris Kraus and lasts 144 minutes.

About the special film campaign

The film series "KINO Bocholt - the special film" has been running since 1977 as a cooperation between the Department of Education and Culture and the Bocholt Cinema. The aim is to present exceptional films - which would otherwise not be shown in Bocholt - to an interested audience of all ages at a favourable price.
