On Sunday, 17 November, at 11 a.m., a public memorial address will be held on the occasion of the Remembrance Day at the cemetery in Blücherstraße. Pastor Christian Wahl and Mayor Thomas Kerkhoff will speak. Interested citizens are cordially invited to attend.
Pupils from the Euregio-Gymnasium will help to organise the content of the event on Remembrance Day. The commemoration will be accompanied musically by a group of pupils from the Bocholt-Isselburg music school.
On Remembrance Day, the victims of war and tyranny are commemorated. As a public holiday, the day enjoys special legal protection and offers an opportunity for reflection and contemplation.
The memorial service at the Bocholt cemetery is organised by the Bocholt district association of the German War Graves Commission in conjunction with the city of Bocholt.
